Swamp Tails

I really enjoyed the whole experience. I had crab claws, onion rings and gumbo. Everything was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. The meal was 27.00 and with the tip it was over 30.00 so it's not cheap but it's very good. I will definitely return.

Some of their Foods was really good but they're crab claws who cooked to death no meat on them. Hush puppies were greasy as heck. Shrimp grits the Great

Delicious!!! Shrimp and Grits with an awesome side salad with the house and ranch dressing combined. We will go back!!!! Hush puppies so tasty I could have made them my meal!

Great location. Fun atmosphere. Good food. Service is in need of improvement. I'll be back for sure though. The menu is begging me to try it all. Lots of choices.

Took my wife and grandson here the other day for the first time. We arrived around 530 no wait for a table. Our waitress was very goodThe menu has several good selections. We went for the fried platter for two. It was very good. Shrimp crab claws catfish and gator and came with 3 sides. My favorite side was the pepper jack grits. We will be going back.

Nice place. Always have some sort of entertainment or event going on.

Nice, casual atmosphere. Great hors d'oeuvres! Friendly service. The shrimp were delectable! Alligator was yummy, but the cheese overtook the flavour, lovely fresh oyster shots. Peppered vodka would have gone well with them. Some fried pork things were delish! Overall, I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

Really nice place and people there

This was a first visit. The food was great. Busy Mother's Day weekend. Maybe they were short staffed. Plenty of open tables, but 45 minute wait. Then they ran out of silverware and brought us plastic. I would visit again for sure.

My husband & I had a GREAT time! Food was authentic Cajun Cuisine! (Being born & raised in Louisiana, I would know!) Wonderful staff & fun atmosphere! This is our new go-to place!!

I've been there four times now. Each visit has been a good experience. Clean floors/tables, kind/helpful staff and really good food. It's a fun place to go.

The food was decent. Kind of pricey for a lunch menu, and slow service. It took the server almost 10 minutes after we were seated to get our drink order. Then after bringing our drinks she asked if we were ready to order, but she didn't have her tablet to take our order. So we had to wait for her to go get that. After we ordered, the salads came out quick, the food didn't take too long either. But one of our group and I myself ask for extra sauce and it took quite a while to get it back. Now I will give them credit that it did look like there was only 2 servers for the lunch time. That's why I have them 3 stars.

Food is decent, the prices are a little high. we have visited multiple times and the quality of the food is inconsistent.

The filet mignon was the best I've ever had but I went to check out the seafood selection, which was limited considering the price. Service was excellent👌

Everything was great except the popcorn shrimp it was just frozen not breaded in house but the gator bites were excellent

Great service and a great atmosphere. I will definitely be a "regular". Best seafood I've had in a long time and the only place in Alabama that does boiled shrimp right. Has about the same atmosphere as a Cajun steamer but with much better food.

The crab leg basket was half the size as it was before...and it was a lot cheaper...so it pans out. However, my previous experience with the old owner was that I had so many crab legs...it was amazing...yes, the price was nearly double...but I didn't care. Before, they had more meat...and I would get full...it still tastes good, but I didn't have the experience I used to have. Cheaper prices is not always better

Food was great. My wife had the top sirloin steak and I ate half. Cooked perfectly. The best tasting steak I've had in a while. The gumbo was also extremely good.

Doesn't live up to all the hype

Marvelous food. Best grilled catfish I have ever had and my wife said her fried chicken was the best she had ever had. The waitress was also great.

August Birthdays & Anniversary gathering - 25 seats - Platinum Buffet. We are regular customers and opted to have our party here. It was the right choice !!! The buffet foods were presented nicely, excellent preparation, warm, and replenished timely as needed. Everyone in our family was pleased with the quality and quantity of appetizers and main course choices. Try their filet mignon and bread pudding. Great staff, prompt and attentive. Worth a trip.

We came their first real night open. It was fantastic. They have enough wait staff and they worked as a team. We were impressed. We happened to be seated near the kitchen door. Wait staff worked together like a well-oiled machine. The food was great also. We had the sauteed crab tails, YUM! Also had the Atchafalaya Special and Rib-eye. Everything was well-seasoned. Definitely will be back. This place should do very well.

This is the most authentic Cajun food I have found in Alabama. I am from south Louisiana. Highly recommend!!!

This was our first visit to Swamp Tails. The food was fantastic!!! The steak was cooked perfectly. It was very juicy and tender. We will definitely go back!

Stopped in with a Funeral Dinner Party of 20+ people, all Service Industry workers. Server was a little overwhelmed, but Stephanie held her own dealing with all of our food and drink orders, considering she did it alone. Mad respect for that young lady. Food was good and drink prices were decent.

I enjoy myself every time I go here. The atmosphere is fun and the service is friendly. I mostly come to see the bands play after the restaurant portion is closed, but the food is good as well. I would have rated this restaurant/bar 5 stars except that the pricing on the food is high for what is served. And the times I have eaten there the wait was about 45 minutes after ordering during times they were not busy. Overall, I like this place and would recommend trying it.
